It is the mission of the Caribbean Heritage Magazine (CHM) to provide unique and in-depth editorial information on all subject matters concerning the Caribbean with the goal of building a more effective cultural bridge between the Caribbean, it’s expatriated people and those who share its culture, through the INFORMING, EDUCATING and ENTERTAINING the people and friends of the Caribbean. Originally issued in print 1993, at the peak of it’s success, CHM had just under 50,000 subscribers plus newsstand sales. With the industry movement from print to digital and while building the Caribbean Heritage Organization and the CaribbeanLens International Film Festival, our founder, Marva Griffiths Herman, searched for a new team that could help bring the magazine into the new media age. Now with renewed vigor and a world-class technical and design team, Caribbean Heritage Magazine is back to share CHM globally through digital and print, TV, video, and collaboration with Caribbean media outlets across the world

Dear People and Friends of the Caribbean,
The fear and anxiety of the COVID-19 pandemic coupled with the grief and anguish brought about by the needless and thoughtless killing of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and countless others, have forced us to cancel the 2020 CaribbeanLens Film Festival and the Salute to Hollywood & Excellence Gala.
For the last few months, the Los Angeles Caribbean-American Heritage Month Celebration committee has been working to find a way to have a virtual celebration that would capture the festive spirit of the culture. We have concluded that the colors, sights and sounds of the Caribbean are better celebrated in person.
However, the national committee is hosting a series of virtual events in which we encourage you to participate. Details are on the website at www.CaribbeanMonth.org.
Please stay safe, well and accept our sincere appreciation for your support over the years. We look forward to celebrating with you next year.
