The non-profit spotlight is a brief look into organizations focused on outreach, conversation, community service and more in the Caribbean. We have selected just a few of these organizations to spotlight for our launch issue.
Caribbean Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
The mission of Caribbean Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. is to enhance the health and well-being of women, and men, who have been affected by breast cancer, and provide education to those who have not been affected.
Their primary goals are to:
- To promote literacy and charitable activities for women who have been
stricken by beast cancer. - To promote wellness through education and early detection among those
who have not been affected by cancer; and - To encourage volunteerism and community outreach.
They strive to make a difference in the lives of women, and men, and their families.

Bajans and Friends for Health & Education
BAFFHE supports health & education by participating in health fairs, giving scholarships, sponsoring community schools and organizations and much more.
Each year as they celebrate Barbados Independence BAFFHE awards two scholarships to students as well as a book stipend to help support their educational endeavors.
They proudly share and celebrate Bajan culture with events such as their Annual Fish Fry & Santa Barbara Bus Trip filled with fellowship, Bajan food and fun.

Life Yard
Life Yard is creating changes making impacts and empowering children through Art, Agriculture and Edutainment. They are a Community Based Organisation as well as Social Enterprise in the heart of downtown Kingston.
Life Yard runs a permaculture urban farm, a restaurant, juice bar and education workshops for the local kids in our community. As Rastafari community , they worship the way ancient African/ Ethiopians spirituality by the teachings and principles of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie 1 & Hon Rt Marcus Garvey.
They welcome you to join them for a meal, a workshop, farming , a celebration or one of our tours of Kingston and the local area.
